310 Boards for Waivers through ADMH
There are local agencies that help people apply for and access services through the waivers administered by ADMH for people with intellectual disabilities.
Once you start an application, your local 310 Board will:
- Help collect required documents
- Do an intake interview
- Assign a Support Coordinator (your main contact person)
💡 Some counties may have more than one 310 Board. Check the contacts page at this link for your area.
Area Agencies on Aging
There are 13 AAAs in the state of Alabama that handle case management for the Medicaid waivers that are administered through the Department of Senior Services (ADSS). AAAs are NOT involved in the waivers for people with intellectual disabilities run by ADMH. Those waivers are handled by the 310 Boards.
To get help from your AAA, find your county on the map below, determine which AAA covers that county, and call that AAA directly. Follow this link to contact information for the AAAs.
